Customer Testimonials
How we helped:
I just wonted to again relay our sincere thanks for the efficient service and neat and accurate work your team has done in the building of the ramp for my parents. It was with great happiness that I was able to take my parents back to their home last week. After 8 months away my parents are delighted they are able to move back to their home thanks to the access ramp you built in the front of their home. We are extremely pleased with the neat work you did in the construction of the ramp and the care taken in ensuring that the surrounding garden was not damaged in any way. Once again our sincere thanks to all at Accessibility Experts.

Follow our step-by-step guide to completing your modification.
Select the option below that applies to the user of the home modification:
Step #1
Give us a call or drop into our office. Ask any questions about the work or service you need. If you're unsure what is available we'll be more than happy to discuss a range of options for you. We have a large showroom too.
Step #2
Your referring Occupational Therapist will send the clinical prescription to us with information about you and your plan.
Step #3
We will need a copy of your plan, outlining the capacity and goals for modification allowed for in your plan, your plan will need to include design and modification for us to proceed.
Step #4
We will contact you to make arrangements for a joint visit with the Occupational Therapist to discuss and plan your modification.
Step #5
When the clinical prescription and the building potential/design have been finalised we will draw up plans and provide you with a quote to complete.
Step #6
Once the quotation has been accepted/approved we can organise subtrades & materials with a timeframe for commencement. Sometimes there can be a delay on trades and materials, we will let you know of any delays.
Step #7
An invoice for the cost/partial cost of the work will be sent to appropriate person for payment prior to commencement.
Step #8
We want to make sure you are happy with and the work completed will meet your goals. Our Quality Controller will make inspection, together with the referring Occupational Therapist to ensure all work has been completed to clinical prescription.
Contact UsStep #1
Contact my aged care (MAC) on 1800 200 422 to discuss what you would like done to your house, to support your ability to continue to live in your home safely and independently. We'll organise a builder or contractor to assess the work and provide a quote for you.
Step #2
MAC then contacts a Regional Assessor (RAS) who will come and meet you for an assessment. They will meet you at your home at an agreed time and date. You will be receiving a call from a RAS representative to arrange this. Please discuss timeframes with MAC.
Step #3
Once a RAS representative has completed the assessment, they will then forward a referral into MAC portal for an in-home assessment by an Occupational Therapist (OT). We will send referral to an OT to make a home visit for modification and complete an assessment to determine if home modifications are appropriate to meet your needs.
Step #4
Once the OT has done this, they will send recommendations to either MAC (who will source a home modification service provider) or the OT will send direct to a reputable provider such as Accessibility Experts.
Step #5
Accessibility Experts will send a builder to assess the recommendations prescribed by the Occupational Therapist, either solely or as a joint visit with the referring OT. A quotation will be prepared from this visit.
Step #6
Once you have accepted the quotation, we will factor the work into our construction schedule and make contact with you to discuss a suitable day and time to commence.
Step #7
A Service Agreement and/or Application Form will be completed outlining the cost of the work accepted, the client contribution to be made and signed off by yourself, Privacy Consent, Charter of Rights and Responsibilities. An invoice will be raised and sent to you for a deposit, to be paid prior to any work commencing.
Step #8
Now the work is completed we hope the modifications will make difference in your day to day life at home. We would really appreciate feedback from you and may ask for your help by completing a Client Survey. This is just to keep us on track by ensuring we are doing all the right things for you and will help better our services for the future.
